Al-‘Allāmah As-Sheikh Al-Muhaddith Muhammad bin ‘Ali Jabata (ḥafiẓahullāh)

Al-‘Allāmah As-Sheikh Al-Muhaddith Muhammad bin ‘Ali Jabata (ḥafiẓahullāh) is a renowned Islamic scholar, preacher, and caller to the Sunnah, widely respected for his firm adherence to the Qur’an and authentic Sunnah upon the understanding of the Salaf aṣ-Ṣāliḥ. He is known for his clarity in teaching, sincerity in Dawah, and unwavering stance against innovation (Bid‘ah), sectarianism (Ta‘aṣṣub), and blind following.

From his early years, Sheikh Muhammad bin ‘Ali Jabata devoted himself to seeking sacred knowledge, studying the foundational sciences of Islam including ‘Aqīdah, Tafsīr, Ḥadīth, Fiqh, and Uṣūl ad-Dīn. His scholarly focus was deeply rooted in the preservation and explanation of authentic narrations, earning him recognition as a Muhaddith among students and listeners. His lessons consistently emphasize evidence (Dalīl), correct methodology (Manhaj), and returning disputes to the Qur’an and Sunnah.

His mission centered on reviving authentic Islamic understanding, correcting misconceptions, and guiding Muslims toward pure Tawḥīd and correct worship. He strongly opposed innovations in religion and consistently warned against divisive ideologies that weaken the Ummah.

He was widely admired for his humility, patience, and courage in speaking the truth, regardless of public opinion. His lectures were characterized by strong textual evidence, wisdom, and compassion, making complex Islamic matters accessible to both students of knowledge and the general public.

Throughout his life, Sheikh Muhammad bin ‘Ali Jabata mentored numerous students, many of whom continue to benefit from his teachings today.
